AMCAS Application

Submit the AMCAS Application.

The University of Washington School of Medicine participates in the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS), a non-profit, centralized application processing service for applicants to first-year entering classes at participating U.S. medical schools.

AMCAS SIGN IN

The deadline for submitting a completed application to AMCAS is October 15 11:59PM Eastern Time. Late applications are not considered.

When AMCAS receives your application, a file is assembled, verified and forwarded to your designated medical schools.

When the University of Washington School of Medicine (UWSOM) receives your file from AMCAS, an initial screening is done of all applications. WWAMI applicants will receive an invitation to complete the Secondary Application if they meet the UWSOM’s academic cutoff. For non-WWAMI applicants, an additional review will follow to determine if the applicant meets the criteria for out-of-region candidates.

WWAMI applicants are eligible to apply to both the M.D. and MSTP programs by indicating their preference in their AMCAS application. Non-WWAMI applicants may apply to either the M.D. program or the MSTP program.

The UWSOM will only consider applicants who are United States citizens or permanent residents (green card holders). Applicants with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status who reside in a WWAMI state and who are legally authorized and recognized by their state’s residency office as a resident for WWAMI educational purposes will be considered for admission. Applicants may only submit three completed applications to the UWSOM.
