About David H. Lewis
David Lewis, M.D., is a board certified physician at UW Medical Center's Healthy Bones Clinic and a UW professor of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine and director of Nuclear Medicine at Harborview Medical Center. He also directs the UW’s Nuclear Medicine Residency.
Dr. Lewis believes that gathering precise information is key for effective care. His main area of interest is in functional imaging of the brain with nuclear medicine. This field has led to new and greater insights into the healthy function of the brain and where it goes awry in disease.
Dr. Lewis earned his M.D. at Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a nationally recognized expert in functional brain imaging with single-photon emission computed tomography. His clinical activity includes interpreting images, overseeing stress tests and treating patients with radioactive therapeutics.
Personal Interests
In his free time Dr. Lewis enjoys exercise, guitar, singing and poetry.
