When last-minute health concerns come up, the UW Medicine Virtual Primary Care team is here for you.
Our team of virtual primary care providers offer you and your family a new way to receive quick, on-demand care. We can address many common health conditions, including acute illnesses and primary care needs, when you are unable to see your primary care provider or do not have one.
Convenient, accessible virtual primary care services
Same-day virtual primary care services are available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week, 363 days a year (closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas) from anywhere in Washington state.
To access virtual primary care services, sign in to MyChart and click on the Menu button near the top of your screen. Then, under the Find Care section, select either On-Demand Video Visit – Get in Line or E-Visit. If you don’t have a MyChart account, you can register for one.
On-demand video visits
Start an on-demand video visit today in MyChart with the first available primary care provider who can diagnose and outline care options. Interpreters are available. Available 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.
E-Visit questionnaires
Current patients can get care by filling out a questionnaire in MyChart and a provider will respond with a care plan. Submit anytime and a provider will respond in 1-2 days.
When to use this service: For the treatment of health needs such as pink eye, UTI/bladder problems and motion sickness prevention. See the full list of health concerns that can be treated via E-Visit questionnaires.
How to get same-day virtual primary care
When you are ready, log in to your MyChart account. If you don’t have a MyChart account, you’ll be given an opportunity to sign up right away.
Next, open the Find Care option from the main menu and choose between two virtual primary care options:

On-Demand Video Visit (new and existing patients): Complete the information and be placed in line for the next available provider. Interpreters are available.

E-Visit questionnaire (existing patients only): Complete the information and select the health concern you are experiencing. If you do not see your concern listed below, this clinical concern may not be available yet for treatment via E-Visit questionnaire. Consider other options for care, such as an on-demand video visit or scheduled visit (in-person or telemedicine).
